Brisbane kindergarten backs down from $2k request for children's art

A Brisbane kindergarten has withdrawn a request that families pay up to $2000 for artwork produced by their children.

The fundraising scheme drew criticism from parents who said the pricing turned children's art into an obligation.

The centre apologised and said participation had always been intended as voluntary.
